8 – 12 patients typically seen in the ICU
Community hospital — serves high acuity, underserved population
Physician on every day shift; APC coverage both day and night shifts
No call responsibility — physician on call fields admissions after 5 pm
Required: central line, arterial line, temporary dialysis catheter, intubation
Anesthesia team available for intubations on night shift
